Our TDI program is unique. It aims at understanding the needs and desires of multiple stakeholders – management, administrators , staff, students and parents – by assisting and creating solutions to effective education delivery that are sustainable. We commend the effort and dedication educators are currently applying in shaping a conducive learning environment.
Students develop an in-depth understanding of key communication skills and strategies for a variety of social, professional, and academic purposes. Students develop communication skills through engaging projects and group assignments with a focus on social media and communicative technology.
Students develop English language skills from within the context of an industry or trade.
Students will also develop key technical vocabulary, grammar and writing strategies, and communication skills related to the industry. Topics are taken from the industry and relate to current industry trends.
There are two streams within the University Pathway program; Academic English and Academic Research English. Students develop strong academic and research skills while they refine their language skills through rigorous academic work. The courses prepare students to study at a North American or English based university and college.
“I found the course most interesting. Sharing all the ideas and knowledge makes me understand the reality of what life is. Because communication is very important for us, by sharing everyone’s experience in class, I have gained self-confidence to participate and learn things from my classmates. Thank you to the instructor for the knowledge she shared with us and for her teaching strategy.” Sukanya, (OEGC)
“Many thanks to the instructor, I gained much through this course and I am feeling more confident in speaking English by the Communication skills I gained throughout the course.”
